Dr. Jennifer Walden is a board certified plastic surgeon living in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Austin, Texas and attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She went on to build her own practice in New York City after her fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Jennifer also co-wrote the book Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She has been a plastic surgeon for over eight years. Her area of expertise is cosmetic surgery including face-lifts, breast augmentation, rhinoplasties and eyelid lifts. She can also perform liposuction on the thighs, arms and abdomen. Many patients come to Dr. Walden for soft-tissue fillers such as Botox and Juvederm. Over 90% of all cosmetic surgeries are performed on women. Sadly, social media and television has warped the idea of how a woman should look.
Jennifer refuses to perform surgeries on women who have unrealistic expectations. She prefers to help women who want to fix a saggy part of their body without trying to look like a Barbie doll. A lot of her clients are women who have given birth and need a little help bouncing back. Jennifer’s patients feel immediately at ease not only because she’s a woman, but because she can relate to some of their insecurities. She herself, is the mother of twin toddlers. She also has had Juvederm and Botox done to fill in her own laugh lines and wrinkles. When Jennifer moved back to Austin from New York, she was concerned that there wasn’t a market for plastic surgery there. Austin is known to be a more natural, environmentally friendly city. After booking her first two appointments instantly, Jennifer knew that moving back would be a successful decision. Jennifer decided she wanted to be a plastic surgeon after studying psychology and women’s studies. She wanted to be able to help women and give them the self-confidence they deserve.
