The President and Co-Founder of the Highland Capital Management Company, James Dondero, has announced that the company has issued an award of $1 million challenge grant to help foster development on the Family Place. This is one of the leading organizations that support family violence victims. This group has raised more than $2.9 million. The campaign will run for the next six months under the Legacy Campaign. During the Annual Texas Trailblazer Luncheon Awards. The announcement was made at the Dallas-based Hilton Anatole.
The grant, which was issued through The Dallas Highland Foundation, is there to match more than 50 percent of all funds raised to sustain this campaign. The foundation is one of the charitable arms of Highland Capital Management Company. The general fundraising will be held on April 4, 2017.
Since the announcement was made in October, the Family Place Foundation has raised more than $200,000 towards supporting their Legacy Campaign. The campaigns fundraising goal is 1$16.8 million. However, the campaign has $2 million more to go. The Highland Capital Management Challenge Grant will ensure that The Family Campaign will finish this era with success.
The Dallas Mayor, Mike Rawlings, will answer this call of action and support this missions on a massive scale. David Brown, the Dallas police chief, said that he would offer his contribution to this project and help these life-threatening issues affecting the people.
According to James Dondero, this issue will be done by the civic community of Dallas. He also said the Highland Capital Management Company was impressed at how the Family Place Foundation carried out their campaigns with diligence. They also took the inception concept to the end of the campaigns. He is also proud to invest part of the company’s earnings to the firm to support their daily needs.
